The Strawberry Line is mainly traffic-free, with no steep gradients and only 9 miles long, making it ideal for a family day out. Along the way you’ll appreciate the beauty and variety of Somerset as you pass the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, steep wooded valleys, cider apple orchards and wildlife-rich wetlands.

The entire path is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and is primarily used for walking and cycling, although horse riding is permitted along a one mile section between Dolemoor Lane and Carditch Drove, which is between Congresbury and Sandford.

The Mendip Way connects Weston-super-Mare, Cheddar, Wells, Shepton Mallet, and Frome. A perfect 3-5 day walk, starting from either end.
